On February 27, 2025, Canada made a significant decision to update the Express Entry category occupations. One such change occurred in the earlier healthcare occupations, now referred to as healthcare and social services occupations. As per the latest Canadian immigration updates, the 1st Healthcare and Social Services Express Entry draw issues 500 ITAs.
Canada’s demand for healthcare professionals is soaring again. Since the start of these draws on June 28, 2023, 7 IRCC healthcare targeted draws have been conducted (including the 1st combined healthcare and social worker occupations draw). They selected a total of 16,350 PR applicants, including professionals from the healthcare and social services Express Entry categories.
