In the 6th Express Entry draw of June 2025, we see 3000 CEC candidates again get Canada PR invitations. This is the second Express Entry CEC category draw this month. And the draw results are consistently positive.
The details of the June 26, 2025, Express Entry CEC category draw are:
CEC candidates are experiencing euphoria over such consistent and positive Express Entry draws. As of this date, IRCC has held 6 EE CEC category draws. This brings the number of ITAs issued to successful candidates to 18,850.
So, if you are one of the lucky 3000 CEC candidates to get Canada PR invitations, then it is because:
After getting an ITA, you will have 60 days to submit a complete and error-free Canada PR visa application. This is the most important part as one small mistake can either delay visa processing or result in visa rejection.
If everything is correct and up to the mark, IRCC will process your PR application and will give a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR).
2025 is speeding up the race towards meeting the 395,000 Canada PR target. This year PNP tops the race, seconded by the CEC category draws. However, the country seems to shift its focus inwards more in terms of issuing PR invitations.
2024 was all about category-based draws targeting occupations and skills in high demand. However, this year, IRCC seems to focus on strong ties with Canada via PNP nomination or via Canadian work experience in the CEC category.
But such a speculation at the end of the second quarter of 2025 will be uncalled for. Because Express Entry draws are volatile and prone to sudden data shifts. Be it CRS cut-off, number of ITAs, multiple category/type draws etc. So, other than IRCC, no one knows what the draw figures or the draw type will be.
3000 CEC candidates again getting Canada PR invitations is great news. Hopefully, we may see another draw which will issue 3000 ITAs or higher and not any digit lower.
In short, if you have Canadian experience CEC category is the best for you. If you do not, you can choose the Express Entry + PNP pathway.
