Applicants getting an invitation applied under the PEI PNP Express Entry and labour categories. The EE applicants have an upper hand when it comes to provincial nominations. Because once they get a nomination, they get a bonus of 600 CRS points in the pool. So, technically their CRS rank rises in comparison to other EE categories. As a result, EE applicants post-PNP nomination have a higher chance of getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a Canada PR visa.
One must also note that the current draw issued 22 more invitations for PEI PNP nomination. We can see the same in comparison to an earlier similar draw on Oct 05, 2023. In addition, the last draw did not select applicants from the agriculture and manufacturing industry. Overall, the positive rise of 45 candidates selected under targeted occupations shows a rise in demand.
Such a demand is to be expected due to the rising job vacancies leading lack of skilled professionals. This is the reason why Canada recently shared its new immigration strategy one day before sharing the immigration level plan 2024-26. The former talks of revamping and fast-tracking the immigration system whereas the latter sets a goal to select 485,000 applicants for PR visas.
