Applicants applying to the EE system are placed in an EE pool where their profiles are given a ranking as per the term of the program. Applicants who receive a high CRS score are selected to apply for permanent residence in Canada in regular draws.

In the first quarter of 2020 IRCC has issued more invites than the first quarter of the past 2 years. Also, April 16 draw the CRS score was the lowest at 455. So far in April, IRCC has already issued 8,389 invites to applicants. Earlier the highest number of invites sent in a month was 8,000 in February.
