OINP selected these candidates under its Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream. This draw is the 2nd of its kind this year. Whereas, a similar draw was held on January 9 which issued 242 NOI to bilingual applicants.
Also, this draw is the largest FSSW draw this year. Applicants selected in this draw must apply for nomination for permanent residence in Canada within 45 days of receiving an NOI.
To qualify in this draw, applicants were required to have a valid profile in the Express Entry (EE) system. Also, if they receive a provincial nomination against their EE profile then they will get an extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This extra CRS score guarantees that the applicant will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in Canada in the Express Entry draw.
Besides the EE system is one of the main Canada Immigration pathways. It handles applications from 3 major economic immigration streams such as:
Under this system, applicants get a ranking as per Human Capital Factors such as age, language skills, education level and work experience.
Moreover, the April 30 draw is Ontario’s 2nd Express Entry linked draw within 2 days. The first draw on April 29 and invited 190 applicants from Express Entry Skilled Trades stream.
To qualify in the FSSW stream applicants needed to meet the language terms of FSWP or CEC. And have a minimum language skill level of CLB 7 or more in English and CLB 6 or more in English.
