The french-speaking province of Canada shares update – Latest Quebec draw invites 517 applicants for permanent selection. Also, the current draw is held under the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).
But, to qualify in the draw the applicants needed a minimum CRS score of 499.
The QSWP helps the province to get foreign skilled workers who can:
If you wish to settle and work in Quebec then you can apply for permanent selection. To do so, apply through the Arrima Portal. After applying your profile will enter the Arrima pool where you will get a rank according to the information you give. Also, when the periodic draws happen, if you meet the cut-off then you will get an invite. As a result, you must apply for permanent selection within 6 months from the date of getting an invite.
Once the province processes your application successfully, you will get a Quebec Selection Certificate (CEQ). With this certificate, you can further apply to IRCC for permanent residence in Canada.
In comparison, to the last Aug 26 Quebec draw, the current draw selected 68 fewer applicants. But looking at the past raws we can see that the provinces are picking more applicants now. And it is the 4th time when Quebec is selecting more than 500 applicants.
This indicates that finally Quebec too is picking its pace to contribute to Canada’s immigration level target of 401,000 in 2021.
