As per the latest immigration update the new British Columbia PNP draw invites 198 applicants. Also, the province held the draw in 2 parts and invited applicants as per its sub-streams. The details of the same are as follows:
Draw 1 – 188 ITAs issued.
Skills Immigration
Express Entry BC (EEBC)
Draw 2 – 10 ITAs issued. CRS score set at 120.
In comparison to the last Jan 25, 2022 BC PNP draw the following are the changes we can see in the current draw:
Looking at the above figures we can see the CRS score going up. Whereas the number of ITAs being issued is coming down. However, we can expect these figures to change in the upcoming draws.
British Columbia under the BC PNP invites applicants who have the right skills for the right job. This program aims to get foreign skilled workers. So, they can meet the labour market needs and can grow the economy of BC. Therefore, BC offers a provincial nomination to qualifying applicants. These applicants can further apply to IRCC to submit a Canada PR application.
BC PNP’s EEBC stream is linked to Canada’s most famous Express Entry (EE) System. Thus, the province picks qualifying applicants from the EE pool.
New British Columbia PNP draw invites 198 applicants where the CRS score is up for EEBC applicants. We can see a rise of 6-9 points in the CRS score for EEBC sub-streams.
However, if you have an ITA in this draw then it is because you meet the following terms:
After you get a nomination from BC against your EE profile then you will get an extra 600 CRS score. This will increase the probability of you getting an invite to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
