Canada raises immigration target plans to invite 485000 people in 2024-26

Breaking News: Canada announces ambitious Immigration Levels Plans for the next 3 years. The focus stays the same which is to invite 500,000 PR applicants each year. A notion shared by the last 2023-25 plan. However, for the current state, Canada raises immigration target plans to invite 485000 people in 2024-26.

The Immigration Levels Plan is Canada’s three-year plan to raise the selection of PR applicants. As per the same, each year on Nov 1, during the non-election season, the Immigration Minister is mandated to release the new plan. In the plan, targets are set as per the labour market needs and economic demands of the country.

Besides, just yesterday, the immigration minister shared the “An Immigration System for Canada’s Future” immigration strategy to enhance the immigration experience. So, looking at today’s Immigration Levels Plan 2024-26 the rise in the targets is expected.

The following table below shows the targets set for each Canadian immigration category such as Economic, Family, Refugees and Protected Persons, Humanitarian & Compassionate and Other.
