Breaking News: Canada again breaks its record of selecting applicants for permanent residency. As 471550 candidates get Canada PR visa in 2023. From the initial target of 465000, Canada in 2023, issued 6,550 more invitations for Canada PR visa.
Each year in November, the immigration minister announces the Immigration Levels Plan. This plan outlines the target of Canada to select people under the Express Entry, PNP, Family immigration, refugee and humanitarian programs.
In addition, to sharing the PR visa approval details, IRCC has also shared the data regarding temporary visa approvals as well.
In addition to the above details IRCC shares that it processed 293,000 Canadian Citizenship applications. Also, in comparison to 2023, we see 13,900 more applicants become Canadian citizens in 2023.
Moreover, for 2024, Canada will select 485,000 permanent residents. Whereas for 2025 and 2026 it aims to select 500,000 people each year. The reason for reiterating this is because of the immigration updates rolled in both 2023 and 2024.
The fresh Canada immigration update shows a cap on student intake set at 350,000. Canada also assured to process 606,250 study permit applications. But PR applicants in 2024 need not worry about the same. Because there is no cap on Canada approving PR visa applications.
