Canada has finally rolled out the update on Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP). Yes, Nov 01 2024 New PGWP conditions for applicants to take effect. This news was announced on Sep 18, 2024. However, now we have complete details regarding the same.

Applicants who wish to apply for a PGWP must meet the following conditions as per the date of application:
Submitted Study permit application before Nov 1, 2024, and applying for PGWP on or after Nov 01, 2024:

| University – Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D. | English/French – CLB/NCLC 7. |
| Any other university program. | English/French – CLB/NCLC 7. |
| College program or others. | English/French – CLB/NCLC 5. |
Submitting Study permit application on or after Nov 1, 2024:
If you are applying for a Canada study visa after Nov 01, 2024, then you must meet the new PGWP conditions for applicants. This includes language skills and study level requirements such as:

To submit proof of meeting language skills as a Canada graduate you can submit the following test results:
English – IELTS/CELPIP/PTE Core Test
French – TCF/TEF
Please note, that language test results must not be more than 2 years old when applying for PGWP.
This condition activates when your study permit lists a field of study requirement. This means you must graduate from Canada in a study program that meets its long-term shortage needs in an occupation.
This field of study requirement is broadly divided into 5 categories:
Canada since Dec 14, 2021, has used the Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) standard to classify post-secondary study programs as per their field of study. The country is currently using the CIP Canada 2021 Version 1.0.
