Skilled Workers in Manitoba

The Skilled Workers in Manitoba selects skilled workers with the skills, experience, study level and language level to grow the province. Also, skilled workers can prove their connection to Manitoba through Ongoing Manitoba employment. Because this is necessary to qualify under this stream.

Ongoing Manitoba employment means you have a fulltime job offer from a Manitoba company. Also, you have work experience of a minimum of 6 months with this company. Besides, your job as a temporary foreign worker or international student working graduate must be full-time, continuous, and paid.


Terms to Apply

Skilled workers in Manitoba applicants do not have to go through a point-based assessment. But to apply you must meet the following terms:


Qualifying Employment

  • Firstly, your employer must run a business that is legal, registered and is in the province.
  • Secondly, the employer must prove the capacity to offer a valid job offer.
  • Also, you cannot calculate self-employment, co-op work, work during a full-time study program, illegal work, as qualifying work experience.
  • Besides, you can not apply to this stream if you are self-employed, a business contractor, owner-operators, and a business owner.


Note: You will only get a work permit from MPNP if you can show the employer-employee relationship.


Terms for International students from provinces other than Manitoba

To apply to Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, meet the following terms:

  • Firstly, have post-secondary study experience from outside Manitoba.
  • Secondly, have a job offer from a Manitoba employer, and
  • Also, have a minimum of 1-year of work experience with the same employer.


Temporary Foreign Workers

As per this factor, you must meet these terms:

  • Submit a copy of your work permit.
  • Must have a job confirmation letter from your employer. Because this letter proves that you are working in a full-time, continuous, paid job for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Submit a copy of your job offer letter.
  • Give proof of salary/wage, job position and its details, on company letterhead, and
  • Other copy of documents required under this stream.
  • Have a long-term job offer from your Manitoba employer for whom you are currently working. Also, this work experience must qualify as per the minimum work experience required to apply to the MPNP Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream.
  • Must have a study level/training/licence/certificate for your job position.
  • Have a minimum language level in English and/or French.
  • Your connection to Manitoba must be stronger through employment than your ties to another province.
  • Also, submit a settlement plan to prove your intent to live, work and settle in Manitoba.


Note

  • You can not apply to MPNP if you do not require a work permit to work in Manitoba.
  • MPNP does not consider work experience gained as a part of a study program.
  • You will have to show proof of funds for settlement.


International Student Working Graduates

You are eligible if you have graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary university/institute.

To apply, meet the following terms:

  • Your study experience can not include any language programs.
  • Must have completed your full-time program from a Manitoba recognised post-secondary public/private institute/university.
  • Must have completed a full-time, minimum 1-year study program from Manitoba.
  • Completed your study program and have a valid diploma, degree, or certificate as proof.
  • Must have and be working with a valid Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) from IRCC.
  • Submit a copy of your PGWP.
  • Submit a job confirmation letter from your employer. Because this letter proves that you are working in a full-time, continuous, paid job for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Also, submit a copy of your job offer letter.
  • Proof of salary/wage, job position and its details, on company letterhead, and
  • Other copy of documents required under this stream.
  • Have a long-term job offer from your Manitoba employer for whom you are currently working.
  • Submit proof of educational qualification – certificate/diploma/bachelors’/masters/ PhD degree.
  • Must have a minimum language skill level in English and or French.
  • Your connection to Manitoba must be stronger through employment than your ties to another province.
  • Further, submit a settlement plan to prove your intent to live, work and settle in Manitoba.

Note

  • You can only give language results that are valid for up to 2 years while applying for MPNP. For a NOC C or D lower-skilled job, you must get CLB 4 (English) /NCLC 4 (French) or higher.
