British Columbia (BC PNP) is one of the key Canadian provinces. And attracts skilled & semi-skilled workers, international students and entrepreneurs to study, work and settle permanently. So, easily filter these candidates, BC introduced the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) on January 27, 2025. SIRS manages provincial nomination applications.
Also, the aim of the program is for applicants to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). And helps the province to select them based on its labour market and economic needs. Besides, an EOI is not a Canada PR application. But rather shows the interest of an applicant in getting a provincial nomination under the BC PNP.
The BC PNP uses SIRS, a points-based system. It assesses your work experience, job offer details, language skills, education levels, and other adaptability factors. To see if you are the top candidate who can meet BC’s labour market needs.
The SIRS evaluates your profile and awards you points. So, British Columbia can decide whether you are a perfect fit to get a provincial nomination or not. Further, when you get a PNP nomination, you have two options:
To understand the BC PNP points calculator details, you must adhere to the SIRS registration scoring factors applicable. So, if you wish to apply to the BC PNP, you must consider the information in the table below:
