300 CRS score for Alberta Express Entry March draw

On Mar 04, 2020, Alberta held its latest Express Entry draw. And invited 100 candidates with a qualifying CRS score of 300 or more.

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) held its latest Express Entry draw to select qualifying skilled workers for permanent residence in Canada. And invited profiles with qualifying CRS score of 300 or more. If you applied to AINP and received a Notification of Interest (NOI) then you can apply to IRCC for a Canada PR.

Note

Firstly, you do not need a job offer to qualify in the latest draw. But you do need an active Express Entry (EE) profile.

Secondly, having a job offer only increases your chance of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence.

What happens after you receive an NOI from AINP?

If you receive a nomination from AINP then you can get extra 600 points against your EE profile. In addition, recently, Canada invited 668 profiles for nomination from the Express Entry pool.

Furthermore, Express Entry manages application from Canada’s 3 main economic class immigration programs such as:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Also, in order to qualify your must meet the terms of the Express Entry system. That is to say, you must meet the Human Capital Factors to get a good ranking. As a result, your EE profile is assessed as per factors such as:

  • Firstly, your current age.
  • Secondly, the period of your work experience.
  • Your education level.
  • Most importantly your language skill level to live, work and settle in Canada.

Furthermore, if you get a high CRS score then you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in the EE draw.

How can you qualify in the Alberta Express Entry Stream?

In order to qualify, EE applicants must be working in an occupation that benefits the economy of Alberta. Though, AINP does not give a list of eligible occupations.

Even though an applicant does not need a job offer to qualify, AINP has said that it will give importance to applicants who:

  • Firstly, have a job offer and or work experience in Alberta.
  • Secondly,   have a Canadian post-secondary degree and a valid job offer; or
  • Have a parent, child or sibling living in Alberta.

So far this year, Alberta has issued 751 invitations to Express Entry (EE) candidates. Whereas in 2019, it issued a total of 11,137 invitations under the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
