British Columbia Nominee Program (BCNP) in its latest draw issued an ITA to 18 applicants from its EI – Regional Pilot stream. To qualify in this draw applicants needed a minimum CRS qualifying score of 107 or more.

If you are a businessman who is keen on setting up and running a business in B.C then Entrepreneur Immigration stream is your best option. As it offers permanent residence to qualifying candidates and helps regional communities get skilled businessmen for growing the economy of the province.

April, 06 draw was the 5th EI draw in 2020, inviting 18 applicants with 107 score or more. Since October 2019, the recent qualifying 107 score is the lowest for this stream. So far, EI has issued 62 Invitations to Apply (ITA).

To apply to the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (B.C. PNP) you can choose one out of these two immigration streams:

BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Category

This stream is for entrepreneurs interested in setting up a new business or taking over and growing an existing business in the region.

BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot

It aims to get foreign entrepreneurs to regional communities to set up a business and meet the economic needs of the participating communities.

Why choose B.C EI – Regional Pilot?

British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration (B.C EI) – Regional Pilot was launched in 2019 to attract foreign entrepreneurs who are willing to set up businesses in regional communities. Also, this program helps participating communities select and refer foreign applicants to the BC PNP.

Undeniably B.C has low investment and net worth terms for applicants as compared to the EI – Base Category. B.C has a low cost of business set-up and operations as compared to other big regions such as Vancouver.

Apart from making an exploratory visit to the region, an applicant must submit a business plan. Also, if selected the applicant will be referred to BC PNP.

Can you apply to BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot program?

To be eligible for applying under this program you must meet the following terms such as:

  • Make an exploratory community visit;
  • A min of $100,000 in eligible business investments;
  • Must have a personal net worth of $300,000;
  • Also, 3+ years of experience as an active business owner-manager; or
  • Within 5 years, 4+ years experience as a senior manager;
  • Besides, must have 51% ownership of the business;
  • And create a min of 1 job for a Canadian or a permanent resident

Once you apply to this program, your profile receives a score. As per your score, you are invited to submit a full application to the program for nomination to apply for permanent residence.
