The FCIR PR Pathway is an initiative taken under the Francophone immigration policy of the federal government. To populate Francophone skilled workers in minor French-speaking communities outside Quebec.

Who can apply to the FCIC PR Pathway for French Speakers?

So, to apply to this program you must meet the following terms:

• Firstly, have a certificate of recommendation from an economic development organisation.
• Secondly, have a valid job offer from a designated employer. Also, the job offer must match certain applicable conditions.
• Also, have a minimum of 1 year of work experience. This work experience must also match certain applicable conditions.
• Besides, have a minimum French language skill level of NCLC 5.
• Moreover, have a minimum of secondary school level education.
• Further, agree to settle in a designated community.
• However, applicants are also required to show minimum proof of funds.

Complete details of FCIC PR Pathway

Certificate of Recommendation

If you wish to get a certificate of recommendation from an economic development organisation, then:

• Firstly, your work experience must match the NOC TEER category of your job offer.
• Secondly, have a valid job offer from a designated organisation with acceptable wages.
• Also, have French language skills.
• Besides, match minimum education terms.
• Moreover, agree to live in the community you will be working in.
• Further, these certificates of recommendation are valid for 6 months.

Valid Job Offer

When applying to the FCIC PR Pathway for French speakers, you must submit a valid job offer:

• Firstly, this job offer must be for a full-time, non-seasonal and paid job.
• Secondly, your job offer must be based on your education level or past work experience.
• Also, 75% of your KRA must be done in the designated community you will be working in.
• Besides, you must meet the work experience requirements.

Work Experience

• Firstly, you must have a minimum of 1 year of work experience (full-time or equivalent in part-time). And this work experience has been gained within 3 years of applying to the FCIC PR Pathway.
• Secondly, your work experience matches the duties as per your NOC TEER category.
• Also, you have worked for a third party. This excludes legal medical practitioners.
• Besides, the work experience requirement for the FCIC is directly related to the TEER category as stated below:

• However, international graduates can be exempt from this requirement if they:
  • They studied full-time and received their credentials 18 months before applying to the FCIC PR pathway.
  • For Master’s degree holders (less than 2 years program), they were living in the designated community for the duration of their program.
  • For other education levels (less than 2 years), the applicant must have been living in a designated community for 16 to 24 months.

Language Skills

To apply to the FCIC PR pathway for French speakers, as the name suggest you must possess minimum French language skills.

• Firstly, you must have French language skill level of NCLC 5.
• Secondly, your test results must not be 2 years old at the time of applying to the FCIC for PR visa.
• Also, you can submit 1 of the following test results:
  • TCF
  • TEF

Education Level

All FCIC PR pathway applicants must:

• Have a minimum of secondary school education.
• Submit an ECA report for education received outside Canada.
  • Besides, your ECA report
• Submit transcripts for Canadian education.

Proof of Funds

When applying to the FCIC PR Pathway for French speakers, you will have to prove that you have enough funds to take care of yourself and any accompanying family members for a minimum of 1 year. 

The required proof of funds is related to the latest LICO cut-off for the designated community.
