On April 15, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its Express Entry (EE) draw. This draw invited applicants with a provincial nomination, which means their EE profile received an extra 600 points. And they were able to match the qualifying Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 808, in the latest draw. These applicants received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in Canada.
To qualify in the latest draw:
Note
The tie-breaker rule used by IRCC selected March 18, 2020, at 10:30:55 UTC. This means applicants who have an 808 CRS score or more and submitted their profile before the mentioned time and date, would have received an ITA for Canadian permanent residence.
The Express Entry (EE) system is Canada’s one of the most immigration system. It is a system that manages profile from 3 streams such as:
Recently, Canada has been targeting provincial nominees and CEC applicants in its EE draws. As seen from the last two draws on April 09, 2020, out of which one was a provincial nominee program-specific draw.
Besides, Provincial Nomine Program (PNP) is an immigration program that helps provinces meet their labour market and economic needs. Except for Nunavut and Quebec, most Canadian provinces and territories have their PNP’s linked with the EE system.
Since the start of 2020, PNP streams have already held 30 draws, whereas the April 15, draw brings the total number ITA’s issued up till now to 26,618. This number is higher than the ITA’s issued on the same date, last year and before.
In conclusion, looking at the regularity of the draws, Canada immigration seems to be taking a positive upward trend.
