New Brunswick, with its dire efforts, has succeeded in persuading the Canadian federal government to raise its PNP allocation. With this, Canada NB PNP gets 1500 additional PNP allocation approval in 2025. This brings the total number of PNP nomination slots for the province to 4,250. The total number refers to PNP allocations under NB PNP and Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
In 2025, NB PNP had its PNP allocation slashed to 2,750 – NB PNP 1,500, AIP – 1,250. This is a 50% drop from 2024. As a result, NB PNP went ahead and successfully negotiated a deal which resulted in 1500 additional PNP allocation approval. However, this is possible because the province agreed to take in 400 asylum claimants.
Currently, New Brunswick is holding draws for the NB PNP. The following table shows the number of invitations issued up till now:
