Canada’s Immigration Levels Plan 2020-2022 aims to keep up, the country’s high immigrant intake. Besides, the record-breaking immigrant intake of 341,000 in 2019, the country aims to welcome more than 1 million new permanent residents in the next 3 years.
If you are looking for Canada immigration, then you must apply now. It can not get better than this. Canada is going to open its doors for 341,000 new permanent residents in 2020, 351,000 in 2021, and 361,000 in 2022. It is strongly focusing on breaking its immigration targets. As can be seen from the 2019 immigration record of 241,000 which surpasses the 2018 mark of 230,000. This is because Canada realises that a major part of its population is ageing rapidly with a low birth rate. As a result, it needs foreign immigrants more than ever to grow the economy and maintain a high quality of life.
Looking at the country’s record-breaking figures in 2019. Canada has set high immigration targets for 2020-2022. Furthermore, with the reintroduction of the multi-year levels plan, we can be sure that foreign immigrants are in for a mega treat. Because these plans help the country in preparing to welcome and offer the best services to new permanent residents.
The country will give permanent residence to 58% of applications from the economic class immigration programs.
The country plans to admit the maximum number of people from its economic class immigration programs such as:
At the present time, immigrant intake is increasing by nearly 10,000 immigrants every year. In comparison to 2019, the country is increasing the target for its PNP programs by 20% in 2022. And is aiming to welcome more immigrants under its various pilots. Like, it will admit 5200 people under pilots such as the Agri-Food Immigration Pilot and Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot.
The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) will receive about 5000 people. As can be seen, the govt is keeping the AIP target the same for all 3 years. Even though Canada might once again break its immigration targets in 2020.
In addition, 26% will get permanent residence through the Family Class Immigration whereas 16% will get admission under humanitarian and compassionate grounds. However, for the family class, the govt has set a target of 91,000 for all 3 years.
Note
Quebec has the authority to decide its immigration targets and is yet to share its plans for 2021-2022. Whereas for 2020, the province has set its target at 25,000.
The current targets are going to benefit both the country and foreign immigrants. The reason being:
Firstly Canada,
Secondly, immigrants will always choose Canada because:
Looking at the above mentioned reasons, the 2020-2022 immigration targets are purposefully set high by the govt. As owing to its sustainable and profitable economy, anyone and everyone will choose to apply for a Canada PR.
Note
By November, the immigration minister intends to table another Immigration Levels Plan. The new plan will reveal the immigration targets for the year 2023.
