On June 18, 2019, applications for Home Child Care Providers and Home Child Care Provider Pilot opened for the Caregivers Canada. The Caring for Children and Caring for People with high Medical needs pilot is stopped.
Also, the processing under the previous Caring for Children and Caring for People with high medical needs went till the June 18. The applications received June 18 will still be processed.
As of now, the candidates get work permits and once they work for two years, they can apply for the PR in the Canada.
The caregivers under the NOC 4411 (Home Child Care Provider) will apply for the PR through the Home Child Care Providers pilot.
Similarly, the caregivers under NOC 4412 (Home Support Workers) will apply for the PR through the Home Support Worker Pilot.

Moreover, these pilots are aiming to bring 5500 candidates in total including the family members. Each pilot will give the ITA to 2750 candidates.
Furthermore, the processing time will take 12 months for work permit. Those who have work experience will take 6 months for processing because now there is no need for the LMIA. The employers will save at least $1000 as a processing fee per person.
From July 8, the candidate having the work experience in the Canada since 30 November 2014, will have an interim pathway for caretakers for three months.
The candidates who worked as the home childcare provider or home support worker are eligible.Through this pathway, the candidate can apply for the PR which was not available.
