July 07, 2023: First EE category based draw targeting francophones held

Canada on July o7, 2023, sees the First EE category based draw targeting francophones held. The current draw may be the fourth EE category based draw but is the first targeting francophones. The current July 07, 2023, Category based French language proficiency draw details are as the following:

  • Firstly, 2300 applicants have an ITA for a Canada PR visa.
  • Secondly, the CRS cut-off for this draw is set at 439.
  • Besides, the tie-breaking rule applicable is January 20, 2023, at 17:18:32 UTC.
    • This means 1 or more applicants who match the minimum cut-off of 439, will get an ITA as per their time and date of creating the EE profile.

Who qualifies as the First EE category based draw targeting francophones held?

The applicants who qualify in the current draw meet two sets of parameters such as:

Express Entry (EE) System requirements:

  • Firstly, have an EE profile under 1 of the EE sub-streams such as:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Secondly, meet Human Capital Factors:
    • Age
    • Education
    • Work Experience
    • Language Skills

French Language Proficiency Category-Based Draw conditions:

  • Mainly, have a French Language Skill Level of NCLC 7 or more.

Usually, the selection of francophone applicants is seen in Quebec Arrima draws. Because Quebec is a predominantly French-speaking province. Thus, it prefers applicants with a good French language skill level.

However, with the new Express Entry (EE) category-based draws, applicants will have a choice to successfully settle anywhere in Canada. And not just settle for Quebec in Canada.

Are the new Express Entry Category draws beneficial for PR visa applicants?

With each new IRCC Canada immigration update, comes the speculation of how beneficial it will be for PR visa applicants. As per the latest Express Entry (EE) System category-based draws, the Canada PR visa aspirants are bound to profit from it. Because their chances and categories of selection have multiplied. No longer do they need to wait for the EE all-program draws happening twice a month or unpredictable other categories draws such as FSW / FST / CEC & PNP.

The addition of 6 categories in the category based draws open the doors for many applicants who may be lacking in one skill but are stronger in another. So, now you can get an ITA for having work experience in a targeted job occupation or for having a higher French language skill level. Thus, now people have a higher chance of getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a Canada PR visa.

So, as the First EE category based draw targeting francophones held, why not make use of the ongoing draw patterns? Besides, as of now in 2023: Canada has invited up to:

  • Overall, 65,348 applicants for Canada PR visas.
  • 53,600 ITAs in 12 EE all-program draws.
  • 2,848 ITAs in 4 EE PNP draws.
  • 3,300 in single EE FSW draw.
  • 4,800 ITAs in 4 EE Category-based draws.

However, Canada is all set to select 465,000 PR visa applicants. So, are you applying? In short, take our Free Assessment. Contact Us to know which Canada PR visa program for permanent residency you qualify to apply for.
