Canada recently updated the eligibility terms of its Express Entry System for French speaking or bilingual express entry applicants to get more CRS points. Now applicants with strong french-speaking skills or who are bilingual can get more CRS points. This increase is to make sure that Canada increases its intake of French-speaking or bilingual applicants. Because Canada wants to settle around 4.4% of french-speaking or bilingual people outside Quebec.
When it comes to Canada, Quebec is the only province which is known for its Francophone population but the country wishes to change this.
Express Entry System: CRS score terms (update)
As per the new update applicants will now get the following CRS points in the Express Entry pool:

| NCLC 7 or higher (French) or CLB 5 or higher (English) | 50 |
Besides, this news not only helps Canada fill its aim of adding both English and French speaking population. But it also adds to the current positive immigration trends.
Now applicants will have more chances of qualifying under the Express Entry pool. Because as per the latest Oct 14 Express Entry draw applicants needed a minimum CRS score of 471 to qualify.
Thus, looking at the current update, this CRS score will now be easy to achieve. Besides, the CRS score as per the past draws has been between 400 – 471. Also, the number of selection of applications has been high.
