Manitoba invited 123 applicants from MPNP’s Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education Stream. In its 89th draw, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) sent 14 out of 123 Notification of Interest (NOI) to applicants with a valid Express Entry (EE) profile.
The Letter of Advice to Apply (LAAs) issued on May 07 was given to:
So far MPNP has issued 1,931 LAA’s this year.
MPNP selected 14 applicants with a valid EE profile. The selected applicants can now apply for a provincial nomination against their EE profile.
The Express Entry system is one of Canada’s main immigration pathways. It handles applications from 3 main economic immigration streams such as:
If you are one of the 14 applicants who received an LAA then it means:
If your EE profile receives provincial nomination then you will receive an extra 600 CRS score. This increases your chances of getting an ITA to apply for a Canada PR.
The 14 applicants selected were required to have both an EE profile with Express Entry system and an EOI profile with the MPNP.
MPNP Expression of Interest (EOI) system
To get a nomination in an MPNP draw, all applicants must first submit an EOI. The applicant can submit an EOI under Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) or Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO) stream.
An EOI is not a formal application but shows an interest in applying for the program. MPNP checks an EOI profile as per factors such as work experience, education level, connection to Manitoba, language skills etc. After that, the profile is ranked out of a score of 1000 points.
Also, in the latest draw
The applicants from the SWO stream received invites by MPNP through the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. Whereas, applicants from SWM needed a permanent, full-time job offer amongst other terms.
MPNP also invited 15 applicants with in-demand skills from International Education Stream (IES).
