On Mar 18, 2020, 136 applicants were given an Invitation to Apply (ITA) through the Alberta Express Entry stream to apply for permanent residence in Canada. If you received an ITA, then it means you had an active Express Entry (EE) profile and had the qualifying Comprehensive Ranking System score of 300 or more.
An ITA in the latest draw allows you to apply for a provincial nomination through Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). So, if you receive a nomination then you receive an extra 600 points against your EE profile. As a result, your chances of receiving an ITA for Canadian permanent residence are increased.
The Express Entry system is one of the main immigration streams in Canada. And handles profiles from 3 main economic class immigration streams such as:
Besides if you qualify for Express Entry (EE) then it means that you meet its selection factors such as:
And as per the above criteria, your profile receives a CRS score. If your CRS score is equal to higher than the qualifying CRS score then you will receive an ITA.
Alberta EE stream requires Express Entry applicants to be working in an occupation that supports the needs of its economy in order to qualify for an invitation to apply for a Canada PR.
Neither AINP provides a list of eligible occupations nor has it made the requirement of a job offer compulsory to qualify. But it does specify that it will give priority to applicants who meet these 3 terms:
As of now, 887 invitations have been issued by Alberta Express Entry stream. Also, in 2019, 11,137 invitations were issued to express entry applicants through this stream.
