To be able to apply for this visa, individual needs to submit an <a href=\"#\">expression of interest<\/a> and then be invited through Skill Select to apply.<\/p>\n<h5>Eligibility<\/h5>\n<p>An individual might be eligible to apply for this visa if invited. When the letter of invitation is sent, they must also have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nominated an occupation that is on the relevant <a href=\"#\">Skilled occupation list.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Obtained <a href=\"#\">a suitable skills assessment<\/a> for that occupation<\/li>\n<li>Not yet turned 50 years of age<\/li>\n<li>Achieved the score specified in the letter of invitation based on the factors in the points test<\/li>\n<li>At least competent English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>What this visa allows for:<\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"154\" src=\"https:\/\/webtechnomind.in\/work\/global-vision-Immigration\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Australia-Skilled-Independent-visa-Eligibility-300x154.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7065\" srcset=\"https:\/\/webtechnomind.in\/work\/global-vision-Immigration\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Australia-Skilled-Independent-visa-Eligibility-300x154.jpg 300w, https:\/\/webtechnomind.in\/work\/global-vision-Immigration\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Australia-Skilled-Independent-visa-Eligibility.jpg 490w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This permanent residence visa allows the individual and any of their family members who have also been granted this visa:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay in Australia indefinitely<\/li>\n<li>Work and study in Australia<\/li>\n<li>Enroll in Medicare, Australia\u2019s scheme for health-related care and expenses<\/li>\n<li>Apply for Australian citizenship(if they are eligible)<\/li>\n<li>Sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence<\/li>\n<li>Travel to and from Australia for five years from the date the visa is granted (after that time, they will need a resident return visa or another visa to return to Australia).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To be able to apply for this visa, an individual must first submit an expression of interest and then be invited through Skill Select. If they receive an invitation, they will have 60 days to apply online for the visa. During that time, they cannot change the information in their expression of interest.
