However, their\u00a0aim must be to seek Asylum.<\/p>\n<p>The visa offers the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Temporarily live in Australia for a period of up to 3 years.<\/li>\n<li>Have access to govt services.<\/li>\n<li>Get counselling for trauma and torture as and when required.<\/li>\n<li>Get free English language classes.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Can travel to other countries except for home country.\n<ul>\n<li>However, Australia can\u00a0allow this if a written request is made on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><br class=\"none\" \/>Extension of visa<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>When an applicant gets this visa, they can apply to the subsequent\u00a0<strong>Temporary Protection Visa (TPV)<\/strong>\u00a0or a\u00a0<strong><a href=\"#\">Safe Haven Enterprise Visa<\/a>\u00a0(SHEV)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><br class=\"none\" \/>Applying for the Temporary Protection Visa<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To apply for this visa, the main applicant and or their family members must be in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, members of the same family unit must be\u00a0in the same application. Also, members of the same family unit refer to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Family head\u2019s spouse or de facto partner<\/li>\n<li>Child or step-child (dependant) of the family head<\/li>\n<li>Child or step-child (dependant) of the family head\u2019s partner<\/li>\n<li>Other relatives (dependant) of the family head<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Australia tries to process this application faster. And to get the same they must meet other applicable terms for approval.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br class=\"none\" \/>Who can get a Temporary Protection Visa?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply for this visa, meet the following terms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are not able to make a valid application for a permanent residence visa (subclass 866) and<\/li>\n<li>Are an unauthorised maritime arrival,\u00a0or<\/li>\n<li>Do not have immigration clearance\u00a0at the time of the last arrival in Australia, or<\/li>\n<li>Are in Australia without holding a valid visa, or<\/li>\n<li>Are holding 1 of the following visas:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Temporary Safe Haven Visa (subclass 449)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (subclass 790), or<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Temporary (Humanitarian Concern) Visa (subclass 786)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Also, you must be a refugee or meet the complementary protection terms.<\/li>\n<li>Submit documents for identity proof.<\/li>\n<li>Have permission to apply for a TPV.<\/li>\n<li>Besides, meet security, health, and character terms.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, if an applicant is above the age of 18, they must sign an Australian values statement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><br class=\"none\" \/>Steps to apply for a TPV<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check your eligibility. And\u00a0give a complete application.
