An individual cannot apply for this visa to have medical treatment for surrogate motherhood.<\/p>\n<p>This is a temporary visa. An individual can apply for this visa when they are in or outside Australia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applying in Australia:<\/strong>\u00a0If an individual applies for this visa while they are in Australia, they must be in Australia when the visa is granted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applying outside Australia:<\/strong>\u00a0If an individual applies for this visa from outside Australia, they \u00a0must be outside Australia when their visa is granted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An individual might be eligible to get this visa if they:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a medical treatment plan or medical consultation in Australia<\/li>\n<li>Are going to donate an organ to someone<\/li>\n<li>Are coming with a patient or organ donor who is applying for this visa<\/li>\n<li>Are going to receive an organ from someone who travels to Australia with them<\/li>\n<li>Coming to Australia as a patient under the arrangements between the Western Province of Papua New Guinea and the Queensland Department of Health<\/li>\n<li>Are in Australia, and they are 50 years of age or older, and have been refused a permanent visa on health grounds only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An individual can also apply for this visa if they are in Australia, have turned 50 years of age, and have been refused a permanent visa only on the grounds of health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To be granted this visa the individual must also:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet financial,\u00a0<a href=\"#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">health<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">character\u00a0<\/a>requirements<\/li>\n<li>Not have a medical condition that could be a threat to public health<\/li>\n<li>Not hold a\u00a0Domestic Worker (Diplomatic\/Consular) (Subclass 426) (closed to new applicants)\u00a0visa or the\u00a0Domestic Worker stream of the\u00a0<a href=\"#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Temporary Work (International Relations) (subclass 403)visa.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Medical Treatment visa (subclass 602)\u00a0is for people to have medical treatment or medical&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-7483","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry","entry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.7.1 (Yoast SEO v27.0) -
