The MPNP for Skilled Workers is locally driven. And\u00a0aims to meet\u00a0the needs of Manitoba employers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The MPNP for Skilled Workers nominates applicants who have a strong connection to\u00a0the province and sufficient skills, education and training, work experience and official language proficiency. So that they can make an immediate and ongoing contribution to the Manitoba economy and\u00a0the community at large.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, all applicants must submit a Settlement Plan, to explain their plan for settling in Manitoba successfully and contributing economically. Also, upon nomination,\u00a0MPNP will provide resources to help you put your plan into action toward achieving your goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Immigration through the MPNP is a three-step process:<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 1<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Submit an Expression of Interest<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 2<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The highest-scoring and qualifying candidates with a connection to Manitoba\u00a0get an invitation to submit an MPNP application<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 3<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

After\u00a0a thorough assessment, the MPNP nominates successful candidates to make a separate application to the Government of Canada for permanent resident visas for you and your family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Further, there are two pathways to Manitoba:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Skilled Workers in Manitoba<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

MPNP accepts applications from qualified temporary foreign workers and international student graduates who are currently working in Manitoba. And have a permanent job\u00a0from a Manitoba employer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Skilled Workers Overseas<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

MPNP accepts applications from qualified skilled workers who can demonstrate a strong connection to the province through family or friends, past education or employment, or by invitation of the MPNP. And\u00a0have sufficient points for five eligibility factors \u2013 age, English proficiency, work experience, education and adaptability.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who cannot apply to the MPNP?<\/span><\/h4>\n

The following are NOT eligible to submit an application to the MPNP:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Refugee claimants, or individuals involved in a federal appeal or removal process<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Live-in Caregivers currently living in Canada<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Temporary foreign workers currently working and residing in a province other than Manitoba<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Spouses of Canadian citizens or permanent residents<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Individuals who have been refused by the MPNP within the last six months and who are not able to address the reason(s) for refusal<\/span><\/li>\n
