NB\u00a0Skilled Worker\u00a0Stream<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The NB Skilled Worker Stream targets skilled workers who have special skills\/training, education, and work experience to grow New Brunswick\u2019s (NB) economy. This stream helps NB\u2019s employers to hire\u00a0foreign skilled workers and international graduates when\u00a0no Canadian\u00a0or permanent resident\u00a0is available to fill their vacant job positions.<\/span><\/p>\n


Who can apply under the NB Skilled Worker Stream of NB PNP?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

To apply under this stream an applicant must meet the following terms:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Firstly, agree to live in New Brunswick (NB).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Secondly, have a valid job offer from NB.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Also, are qualified to perform your job duties.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Besides, will be\u00a0getting competitive wages for your job position.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Further, the NB employer is supporting your application.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Finally, be certified\/licensed if the occupation is regulated.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Canada requires all applicants to show proof of language skills. To do so an applicant can show language test results\u00a0showing their skill level in all 4 language abilities: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Secondly, at the time of applying to the NB Skilled Worker stream and at the time of getting the provincial nomination, the ECA report must be valid.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n


      Education \u2013 Max 20 Points<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

      To\u00a0get points under this factor, all applicants must:<\/span><\/p>\n

      • Have a minimum of a Canadian high school diploma; Or<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Have a foreign high school diploma.<\/span>\n
          \n
        • Also,\u00a0submit an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)<\/strong> report for the same.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Besides, an ECA report acts as proof that the applicant\u2019s foreign education is at par with Canada\u2019s education system.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

          To claim 20 points under this factor, the applicant\u2019s work experience must be full-time, relevant work experience within 5 years before applying to NB PNP.<\/span><\/p>\n


          Additionally, the work experience must meet the following terms:<\/span><\/p>\n

          • Must be full-time \u2013 1,560 hours of work over a period of 1-year.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Can be with 1 or more employers.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • NOC must match the job offer received from an NB employer.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Also, you must\u00a0get paid.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Besides, can be gained within Canada and\/or abroad.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Finally, if showing self-employment experience \u2013 submit official documents post third-party verification, and self-employment must not be in the Food, Accommodation, and Retail sector.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n


            Besides, if you have work experience in a\u00a0 regulated occupation then you must show proof that you held a valid license while practising the same.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

            The NB PNP fuels itself from its local community and aims to balance its needs as a province. One can claim 10 points under this factor if your job offer is in:<\/span><\/p>\n

              Have worked in NB for a minimum period of 1 year within 5 years, Or<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n7<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
              Are an international graduate from an NB post-secondary institution and have 6 months of work experience in the province. This also includes work experience gained as a student.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

              Who can not apply to the NB Skilled Worker stream?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

              Do not apply to this stream if the following conditions apply to you:<\/span><\/p>\n

                \n
              • Already have an active application registered with the Department of Post-secondary Education, Training and Labour<\/strong>.<\/span>\n
                  \n
                • Besides, PETL is the authorised department that overlooks the processing of all NB PNP applications.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                • Are an owner of any property\/business in any other province or territory in Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Your application process is currently in processing in other province or territory in Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Were guilty of misrepresentation in any immigration program.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Are living illegally in Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Are on a removal order, or do not have permission to enter\u00a0Canada or any other country or territory.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Have been working in Canada without authorisation.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Are living in Canada and do not have legal status to do the same. Also, you have not applied for the restoration of your status before 90 days of losing your status.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Are a failed or unresolved refugee, or humanitarian and compassionate claimant living in Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Are an illegal resident in the country of your current residence.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Studying as a full-time post-secondary student in Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Have a part-time, seasonal, casual job in New Brunswick.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Are in a sales job that only offers a commission.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Your job will not be based in New Brunswick.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Are registered in the Live-in Caregiver Program.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Application is based on a job offer where you will be self-employed in NB.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Currently, are on a Post Graduate Work Permit. Also, your occupation comes under NOC Skill Level D.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Your\u00a0job offer may impact a labour dispute, or hiring of anyone who is\u00a0under such a case, or may affect training or employment opportunities of Canadian citizens or permanent residents living in NB.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Have a job offer for your application, where you are a major shareholder in an NB business, Or<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
