Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The\u00a0Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry stream selects skilled foreign workers who want to live, settle, and work in Nova Scotia. It\u00a0selects applicants\u00a0who have a minimum of 1 year of full-time, regular, and paid work experience in Nova Scotia.\u00a0This stream is also linked with the federal government\u2019s Express Entry system<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.\u00a0But, this stream is a pilot project and is subject to change.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, there are two ways to get a selection, either you apply to NSOI directly or NSOI will select you. In both cases, you must have an active\u00a0Express Entry (EE) profile<\/strong>\u00a0with the\u00a0Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)<\/strong>,\u00a0Express Entry (EE) system<\/strong>. Further, you must submit a complete application to NSOI.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry program, in addition, helps the province meet its labour market and economic needs. It also allows skilled workers and their families to\u00a0get\u00a0permanent residence\u00a0in Canada<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the\u00a0terms you must meet to apply to this program?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

To\u00a0apply, you must meet its terms such as:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • You must be between the age group of 21 and 55;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Create an EE profile and meet the terms of the EE system;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Must have a minimum of 12 months full-time (30 hours per week) or equivalent part-time (15 hours per week) skilled work experience within 3 years;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Have work experience in Nova Scotia with a valid work permit or authorization to work in Canada;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Must have completed Canadian secondary or post-secondary educational credentials or have an\u00a0Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)<\/strong>\u00a0report that verifies foreign educational credentials are at par with Canada\u2019s educational credentials;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Have the minimum language skill level of CLB 7 for an occupation in NOC 0 and B, and CLB 5 for NOC B.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Also, you\u00a0must prove that you intend to live, settle, and work in the province.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n


    Work Experience<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    To apply, you must have skilled work experience, and this must:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Be gained by working for an employer in the province;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Gained within 3 years before applying to NSOI and IRCC;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Minimum 1 year (1560 hours) of full-time (30 hours per for 12 months) or equal in part-time (15 hours per week for 24 months or 30 hours per week in 12 months, in more than 1 job), is counted;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Paid experience gained as a student or through self-employment is not considered;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Must be in NOC skill level 0, A, or B.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n


      Education<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

      To apply to this program, you must:<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Submit a copy of a valid Canadian degree, diploma, certificate; or<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Give an\u00a0Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)<\/strong>\u00a0report that:<\/span>\n
          \n
        • Confirms foreign educational credentials are equal to the Canadian educational credentials;<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Must not be more than 5 years old at the time of applying to the program;<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Formatted and written as per IRCC guidelines;<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Be issued on or after IRCC designated an organization to do the same.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n


          Language Ability<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

          To qualify under this program all applicants must submit proof of language skills in English\/French. You can do so by submitting test results for English \u2013 IELTS\/CELPIP, or for French \u2013 TEF\/TCF.<\/span><\/p>\n

          As per your occupation, your language test results must be:<\/span><\/p>\n

            \n
          • NOC 0 or A \u2013 a minimum of CLB level 7<\/span><\/li>\n
          • NOC B \u2013 a minimum of CLB 5<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Besides at the time of application, these test results must not be more than 2 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n
