Work Permit Stream<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

This Work Permit Stream comes under the\u00a0Business Impact Category<\/strong>\u00a0of the\u00a0PEI PNP.\u00a0<\/strong>And\u00a0helps entrepreneurs for\u00a0getting a\u00a0provincial nomination<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0apply for permanent residence in Canada<\/strong>. Also, this stream\u00a0helps the island to get skilled entrepreneurs who can add to the economy of the province. However, the stream hires those applicants who have the highest chances of setting up a successful business in the province.<\/span><\/p>\n

Further, the PEI PNP uses a point-based selection process through its\u00a0Expression of Interest (EOI) system.<\/strong>\u00a0And selects the profiles that meet its terms. It then issues an\u00a0Invitation to Apply<\/strong>\u00a0(ITA)<\/strong>\u00a0for provincial nomination to apply for a Canada PR.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to run a business, then you can apply to PEI PNP Work Permit Stream. Under this stream, you can set-up and run a business on a valid work permit for a minimum of 1 year, before receiving a Canada PR. If you\u00a0get an\u00a0invitation to apply (ITA), then you must sign a\u00a0Business Performance Agreement (BPA).<\/strong>\u00a0Also, after approval, you will\u00a0get a\u00a0Letter of Support<\/strong>\u00a0to apply for a work permit to\u00a0IRCC<\/strong>.\u00a0However,\u00a0if you meet all the terms of the BPA then you will\u00a0get a nomination for permanent residence in Canada<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n


Who can apply?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

To\u00a0apply to\u00a0Work Permit Stream, meet the following terms:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Firstly, have a minimum verifiable and legal personal net worth of $600,000;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Secondly. have a minimum of secondary school equivalent education;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • At the time of applying, fall under the age group of 21-59;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Must have transferable management skills and past employment or business ownership experience;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Have minimum language proficiency of NCLC\/CLB 4 level in French\/English;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Show genuine intent to live, settle and work in PEI while being actively involved in the day-to-day management of your proposed PEI business;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Also, provide proof of settlement funds;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n


    Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to PEI<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    An EOI is not a formal application to PEI but shows the applicant\u2019s interest in applying to the program. Also, priority is given to applicants who prove that they can successfully establish themselves in the province.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Language Skills<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

    All applicants must show proof of job-ready English or proof of having a post-secondary bachelor\u2019s degree or higher, a minimum of 3 years program in English or French. Because this\u00a0proves that applicants can communicate in English to live, work, and settle in Canada. Besides, an EOI profile\u00a0gets\u00a010 points extra for\u00a0giving proof of language skills in both English and French.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Further, to do so\u00a0give test results for English\/French\u00a0with proficiency in 4 key areas such as Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.<\/span><\/p>\n
