To do so submit police certificates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Must have good health.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Agree to leave Canada when the study permit expires.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In case the applicant lives in China, India, Morocco, Pakistan, the Philippines, Senegal, or Vietnam, they can apply for fast processing of study permit through the <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230129161439\/https:\/\/gvimmigration.com\/student-direct-stream\/\"><strong>Student Direct Stream<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Besides, while studying on a study permit, the applicant must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Work towards completing the study program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Meet all the terms of the study permit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Stop studying when the study permit expires, and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Agree to leave Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Also, as per the applicant\u2019s case, there might be additional\u00a0terms related to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If the applicant can work in Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The applicant is allowed to travel within Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The date when the applicant must stop studying.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Study Permit Exemptions<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An applicant may be exempt from getting a study permit for;<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Short term studies (6 months or less)<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As per new covid-19 instructions, all applicants who fall under this term must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Firstly, have a study permit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Secondly, be enrolled in a DLI with a Covid readiness plan.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Family or staff of foreign representatives<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An applicant may not need a study permit if it is a family member or a staff member for a foreign representative to Canada. But if the applicant\u2019s family members or dependents wish to study in Canada, then they must apply for a study permit for the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Registered Indians in Canada<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If an applicant has a Registered Indian Status in Canada, even if the applicant is a citizen of another country.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Minor Children in Canada<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A minor does not need\u00a0to apply for a study permit if:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is in kindergarten.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Are refugees or refugee claimant,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Parents are refugees or\u00a0refugee claimants, or<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Are in\u00a0pre-school, primary or secondary school. Also, the minor is currently in Canada with their parents who hold a study or work permit.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Apply for\u00a0a study visa even when 1 does not need it<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A study visa helps a foreign student to do the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To continue studying in Canada (if the applicant continues to meet all terms).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Work on or off-campus<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In case an applicant applied for a study permit without the need of having one then it must give reasons for the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Continue Studying<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If the applicant has a study permit and the\u00a0terms of the study program changes then the applicant must get a study permit. For example. If an applicant wants to extend their\u00a0period of studies or do a prerequisite course that adds to the longer study program. In the former case, a work permit must be obtained if the applicant wishes to study for a longer duration of time. Also, if the applicant\u2019s study permit expires it can continue to study while the new application is in processing. Whereas for the latter case, the applicant needs a study permit for the longer course because prerequisite courses do not need the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Work on or off-campus<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A foreign student who is studying full-time in a DLI can <strong>work as a student<\/strong> on-campus or off-campus.
