During their stay here they can enjoy New Zealand\u2019s high-quality teaching standards and gain internationally recognised qualifications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Visa Eligibility:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 350px;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">The individual needs to have a foreign government loan or scholarship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">An individual can only apply for this visa if the country supporting their study has an education agreement with New Zealand.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They need to provide evidence that their tuition fee will be paid by the loan or scholarship<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">The need to meet the character requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">What does this visa allow for:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Study full-time at the course stated on their visa \u2013 this includes schools, tertiary (study after secondary school) and English language study.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Work part-time up to 20 hours a week while studying\u00a0and full-time in the holidays, depending on their visa conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Live by themselves above a certain age, otherwise, they\u2019ll need to come with their parent or\u00a0legal guardian.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Things to note:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">An individual can only apply for this visa if the country supporting their study has an education agreement with New Zealand.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">If they want to bring their partner or children with them, they can apply for visas based on their relationship to them.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Visa conditions:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">If an individual is granted this visa, there are certain conditions that are described below that they must meet<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Entry permission \u2013<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"> The individual must apply for entry permission when they arrive in New Zealand. They can do this by completing an arrival card, which they\u2019ll be given on the way to New Zealand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They individual can be refused entry permission if:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They do not meet the character requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Their circumstances have changed since they were granted a visa<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They refuse to let their photo be taken or to provide their fingerprints or an iris scan when asked to do so.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They\u2019re unable to provide evidence of any onward travel or funds required by the conditions of their visa.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Travel \u2013 <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">If an individual wants to travel in and out of New Zealand, they must have valid\u00a0multiple entry travel conditions\u00a0to return to New Zealand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">If they\u2019re applying from inside New Zealand, they\u2019ll normally receive a multiple entry travel condition when they\u2019re granted this visa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">If they don\u2019t have multiple entry travel conditions and they leave New Zealand, their visa will expire. Their travel conditions will be recorded on their visa label or in their visa letter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Onward travel- During the length of their visa, they must have a travel ticket or funds available to buy a ticket to a country they can enter. The funds can be in the form of any of the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Sufficient funds held in New Zealand to purchase a travel ticket<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">An acceptable form of financial undertaking by their guarantor<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Current sponsorship by an acceptable sponsor.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">If their visa label or letter doesn\u2019t say \ufffd?Financial evidence not required\u2019 or \ufffd?The holder of this visa is sponsored\u2019, they may be asked for evidence of funds when they arrive in New Zealand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Work \u2013 <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They may be allowed to\u00a0work\u00a0part-time for up to 20 hours a week and full-time during all scheduled holidays and\/or during the\u00a0Christmas and New Year holiday period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">When they have a job in New Zealand, they have to pay tax on their earnings. they\u2019ll need to have a New Zealand bank account and an IRD number to do this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">We don\u2019t grant work rights to students under 16.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They aren\u2019t allowed to be self-employed. They have to work as an employee with an employment agreement and not as an independent contractor. They can\u2019t provide commercial sexual services or operate a business that provides these services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Parent or legal guardian- If they\u2019re required to be accompanied, their parent or legal guardian must live with them while they\u2019re studying and they can\u2019t leave New Zealand without them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Attendance and progress- They must study\u00a0full-time\u00a0and attend their course at the\u00a0approved education provider\u00a0noted on their visa, unless they have a reasonable excuse for absences. They must make satisfactory progress on their course.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Medical insurance \u2013 <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They must maintain their medical insurance while in New Zealand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Visa Expiry \u2013 <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif; font-weight: lighter; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">They must leave New Zealand before their visa expires.
