Restoration of temporary resident status now extended.<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><u>Restoration of temporary resident status now extended<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0for temporary residents in Canada whose status\u00a0has expired after January 30, 2020. The new policy\u00a0helps temporary residents to apply for restoration of their status till\u00a0<strong>Dec 31, 2020<\/strong>. Earlier, applicants\u00a0had to submit a restoration application within 90 days. IRCC is\u00a0now offering this new policy to make sure Canada immigration process\u00a0has required flexibility. All this is to continue fighting the current global pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Besides, the new policy gives this extension to past holders of work permit, temporary resident visa, and study permit. Also,\u00a0it\u00a0helps applicants\u00a0who want to\u00a0<strong>apply for an\u00a0employer-specific visa<\/strong>\u00a0to work in Canada while\u00a0their application is processing. Also, to qualify the applicant must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Have a job offer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Submit LMIA supported work permit application, or<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Have an LMIA exempt job offer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Also, notify IRCC of the current status.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Concerning the global pandemic issue, Canada is continuously rolling out measures to sustain and grow its labour market force.
