Livelihood Mission and Transfer of Technology

The current elected Council of the MAC is prioritizing livelihood-centric schemes to combat poverty and rural unemployment while fostering economic growth. Despite abundant land resources, particularly during the winter, rural youths are migrating to cities in search of employment opportunities. This trend is primarily attributed to a lack of information, technology, entrepreneurship, and skills, compounded by insufficient funding. To address these challenges, the Council is focusing on initiatives aimed at enhancing livelihood opportunities and facilitating the transfer of technology to rural communities. By providing access to information, technology, training, and financial resources, the Council aims to empower rural youths, promote entrepreneurship, and encourage sustainable economic development within the MAC area.
